| Viscosity reduced to approximately 100 cP to 300 cP. | Pump torque is reduced by up to 80% due to lower production tubing and flowlines friction. | Proven to increase net heavy oil production by up to 100% or more. |
| Increased reservoir contact | Distributes drawdown & reduces water coning | |
Wellflux CT (coil tubing) is an application where coil tubing is installed into the horizontal leg of a wellbore. Using CT in the horizontal section of the well allows the Wellflux chemical to be applied directly up to and including the toe of the wellbore which is least likely to produce oil. This technique allows for increased reservoir contact and increased mobilization of heavy oil from the lateral section of the well.
The objective of a Wellflux CT intervention is to assist the reservoir to increase its oil delivery rate. In the case of a horizontal well this may be achieved by using Wellflux CT to increase the mobility of the produced fluid in the wellbore itself.
The application of Wellflux through coil tubing distributes drawdown across the lateral section. This effect can reduce coning through the underlying water aquifer.
